I haven't checked the other issues - it's only fair that I do, so will revisit and advise shortly. I used VMWare Fusion and Parallels Desktop on my Apple gear to run Windows - Fusion I tend to use for server stuff, and Parallels for Windows 10 desktop type stuff.

I was pretty keen to try out VMWare Fusion 11 - the latest in the arms race with Parallels, with Parallels Desktop 14.0 having been released about a month ago. Unfortunately, all I found was problem after problem with VMWare Fusion 11. I'm sure VMWare will fix them, however you should be wary of this product for now before spending your money on the upgrade. Try the trial first, see if you run in to the same issues. I've hit the same performance problems on High Sierra, and Mojave, and on three different machines - a 2016 and a 2018 Macbook pro, and my 2018 iMac.
